Secure engineering for regulated and growing businesses

We build, harden and run your infrastructure and applications, and set them up so your team or your AI agent can change them safely: every change checked, staged and reversible.

An engineer, not a salesperson, replies within one business day.

Banking, payments & fintech

Infrastructure that passes the questions your auditors, card schemes and banking partners ask.

  • Security audits and hardening
  • PCI DSS 4.0.1 controls
  • DORA evidence for ICT suppliers
  • Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes

Websites & online shops

Change your site by describing what you want. An AI agent does the work; checks, staging and rollback keep it safe.

  • No developer needed for everyday changes
  • Staging preview before anything goes live
  • Backups every 6 hours
  • Server hardened and monitored

AI-built software

Built your app with Lovable, Cursor or Claude? We find what breaks before your users or attackers do.

  • Security audit of AI-generated code

What we do, with prices

Managed operations for your servers and cloud

Someone who watches your infrastructure, keeps it patched, proves the backups work and picks up the phone when it breaks. Without hiring a full-time ops team.

How we work

From first email to production

  1. Free first call

30 minutes with an engineer. We look at your setup and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

  2. Fixed-scope quote

A written scope, price and timeline. No hourly surprises.

  3. Audit or build

Work happens in Git with pull requests you can see. Findings come with fixes, not just a PDF.

  4. Run and improve

Optional monthly care: monitoring, patching, backups and changes on request.

Real work, real numbers

E-commerce · Electronics retail

From FTP edits to an AI-managed pipeline in about a week

Two online stores, 42,000 products synced from 1C, and changes made directly on the live server. One week later, the owner was shipping changes by describing them to an AI agent.

Fintech · Payments & cards

DevOps leadership for a payments fintech's PCI DSS-scope infrastructure

A European fintech processing payments, cards and crypto, with 20–50 people and a regulated core. We lead its DevOps over the long term: infrastructure as code, PCI DSS controls, payments connectivity and disaster recovery.

E-commerce · B2B wholesale marketplace

A safe delivery pipeline for a 9-year-old marketplace, live in one day

A Laravel marketplace with about 3,900 commits since 2017, one dedicated server under memory pressure, and changes going straight to production. The gated pipeline went live in a single day.

Principles

What we do not compromise on

Nothing edits production by hand

Every change goes through a pull request, automated checks and a server-side gate that a pull request cannot weaken.

Every deploy can be undone

Backup before deploy, health check after, automatic rollback if the site does not come up.

Least privilege, everywhere

Per-repository read-only deploy keys, CI keys that can only deploy, and AI agents with no server or secret access.

Why SystemFlare

Most of our work comes from two kinds of clients that look different but need the same thing. A payments company has to prove to auditors and banking partners that its infrastructure is controlled. A shop owner needs to change the website on Tuesday without breaking it on Wednesday.

Both need the same discipline: changes go through Git, automated checks, a staging copy and a deploy gate that can roll back on its own. We built that discipline for regulated fintech infrastructure, and we now bring the same controls to smaller businesses. One result is that their owners can safely ask an AI agent for changes instead of waiting for a developer.

We publish prices, write in plain language, and put our findings into pull requests you can merge, not into reports that gather dust.

Questions clients ask

Who is SystemFlare?

SystemFlare is the security and infrastructure engineering brand of Dowell LLC. We work remotely with clients in the EU and worldwide, in English and Spanish. Our sister brand Dowell Studio builds new products for founders.

Do you certify PCI DSS or DORA compliance?

No. Certification is done by a QSA or your regulator. We implement and evidence the technical controls (hardening, logging, scanning, backups, access, change management) so that your assessment goes smoothly.

Can a non-technical owner really change a website through AI?

Yes, for everyday changes such as text, layout, product display and small features. The owner writes the request in plain language, the AI agent opens a pull request, automated checks run, and the change appears on a staging copy for approval. Risky changes are flagged for an engineer. See AI-managed websites.

How fast can you start?

Usually within a week of a signed quote. Urgent incidents (site down, suspected breach) are handled the same day when we have capacity; email us and say it is urgent.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us what worries you, whether that's an audit, a regulation deadline or a shop that's hard to change. We'll suggest the smallest useful first step.
